Boss tries to crash the organization of workers in Akkardan!

Now they are in a resistance (a wildcat strike) and fighting for their jobs. Every day they gather in front of the factory with their families. Those workers who are still working in the factory support their fired friends and their struggle. At lunch time they bring their meals to their struggling friends. Akkardan workers need and look forward to your support and solidarity.

Appeal for Solidarity from Akkardan Workers

We, the workers of Akkardan Company, were laid off from our jobs on January 26, 2010. However, we did not end up going home and instead we started to fight back in front of the factory for our children’s future. We would like to inform you briefly about the development of our resistance.

The Association of International Workers Solidarity (UİD-DER)

Our Association of International Workers Solidarity, UİD-DER, has been founded in June 2006 by Workers Self-Education Groups (WSEG) which have been active in different industries such as metal, textile, petrochemistry. Revolutionary vanguard workers who make up WSEG had been conducting work in union rank-and-file, factories, strike places for many years. UİD-DER is the fruit of this continuous work carried on in a working class discipline. And we keep carrying on our work to strengthen this base on an international level as well.
