(26.03.2012) The Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant is still dumping huge amounts of radioactive material daily, without exact knowledge of the whereabouts of the melt-down fuels. TEPCO and Japanese government are only cooling all stricken reactors by water, the result being a large amount of contaminated cooling water which is continuously leaking into the Pacific Ocean.

Shut down ALL Nuclear Plants NOW!

(20.07.2011) In Japan almost 30 thousand people lost their lives due to the earthquake on 11 March and the subsequent tsunami. And the radioactive material released from the nuclear power plant Fukushima Daiichi has been threatening whole life throughout the country beginning with the region the power station located.

To Our Japanese Class Brothers/Sisters

(09.04.2011) Our dear class brothers/sisters, as your class brothers/sisters in Turkey, we share your suffering and your completely justified anger against capitalist system which is responsible for the series of disasters in Japan. Added to the disaster caused by insufficient precautions against tsunami, now there is the nuclear disaster.

To Our Egyptian Class Brothers/Sisters

(15.02.2011) As your class brothers/sisters in Turkey we sincerely and enthusiastically salute your revolt against Mubarak dictatorship, which you have been carrying on for many days in great persistence and resolve. This revolt started by our Tunisian class brothers/sisters and carried further by you, raising the flag higher, scares the exploiters all over the world. But on the part of exploited masses it strengthens the faith that “we can”, strengthens the spirit of resistance, refreshes self-confidence.

Minimum Wage to be Determined by Workers’ Committees!

(15.12.2010) Brother and sister workers, we are struggling to get by on a net minimum wage of 599 liras. Every year, in the run-up to December, the question of the amount of upcoming increase on minimum wage comes to the fore. Millions of workers and their families hope that there would be an adequate increase to meet decent standards. But the minimum wage never reaches even to a level which would be enough to meet the minimum needs of a working class family.

What is UİD-DER and What Does It Stand For?

(23.12.2009) Our Association of International Workers Solidarity, UİD-DER, has been founded in June 2006 by Workers Self-Education Groups (WSEG) which have been active in different industries such as metal, textile, petrochemistry. Revolutionary vanguard workers who make up WSEG had been conducting work in union rank-and-file, factories, strike places for many years. UİD-DER is the fruit of this continuous work carried on in a working class discipline. And we keep carrying on our work to strengthen this base on an international level as well.
