Doro-Chiba’s Solidarity Message for May Day and 14th May Election
Dear Comrades of the UID-DER,
We express our sincere respect to our comrades of the UID-DER who have been doing everything possible to help the people suffering from the February 6 earthquake.
Regarding this situation as a law-and-order problem, the X government are suppressing people employing every available measure.
It has responded to workers' voluntary relief efforts with firing and outrageously forced workers, who has to deal with various problems in the affected areas, to go back to work.
However, militant Turkish workers showed their power, repelled the threats of firing, stood up to organize their union and waged strikes to demand better conditions, including safety and health care, and higher wages at the Mata Automotive factory and others.
The Erdoğan government has launched a desperate move to pull itself from the fire, using the presidential and general elections scheduled for May 14.
Development of the class struggle labor movement, the UİD-DER standing at its forefront, and great leap of the Alliance for Labor and Freedom, which is progressing under its aegis, will be decisive.
We in Japan will carry out determined protest action not to allow the G7 Summit talks on May 19, a war conference, to be held in the very stronghold of anti-war, anti-nuke struggle, the City of Hiroshima.
Successively, our national railroad struggle rally on June 18 will kick-start our organizing in every workplace in every industry and prepare for a tremendous National Workers’ All-out Rally on November 19th—the 20th anniversary of our International Solidarity Rally in November.
Neoliberal policies have totally collapsed. Facing the catastrophe, imperialism, especially US and Japanese, has been looking for a way to survive its crisis in waging a war of aggression on China, using the war in Ukraine as the runup. We will strengthen our international solidarity and give imperialism the coup de grace.
We wish you great success in your May Day struggle!
