Relying on the backing of the government, the bosses ramp up their attacks. In response, the workers are getting organised to fight against exploitation and injustice.
To protest the government for its unfulfilled electoral promise for permanent employment, Çaykur workers gathered in front of the AKP Rize provincial building. Police forcefully removed them and took two workers into custody.
Having been fired because of organising under Türk Metal union, Aluform Pekintaş workers keep resisting.
KESK made press statements in many cities titled “We will continue to demand the promises given before the election and keep fighting for a decent wage and a safe future!”
Organised under Tezkoop-İş union, İstanbul Technical University cafeteria workers went on strike after the collective bargaining negotiations were blocked.
İZELMAN and İZENERJİ workers from İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and Batman Kozluk Municipality workers took strike action to reclaim their usurped rights.
Having been fired after getting organized under Petrol-İş Union, the struggle of the Pulver Chemical workers resulted in victory.
In Bursa, Patten workers from Türk Metal Union forced the boss to back down. The employer withdrew its appeal to the court.
At Sabo suspension factory in Bursa, 7 workers were fired after they joined Birleşik Metal-İş union. In response, workers stopped the production and forced the boss to back down. Negotiations have begun between the boss and the union.
Led by DİSK/Dev Yapı-İş and İnşaat-İş unions, construction workers continue their actions against pressures, the usurpation of compensation rights, unpaid wages, and underpayment of insurance.
The resistances at the Emlak Konut urban transformation project in Fikirtepe and in the Istanbul Finance Center Halkbank construction site also resulted in victory.

Workers from Genel-İş union held a one-day strike in all the unionized municipalities to reclaim higher wages, justice in taxation, compensation and job security.
