Workers across Turkey are fighting and coming out on streets to get better pay and working conditions.
- In Kocaeli, Kartonsan workers from Selüloz-İş Union started picketing after the collective bargaining negotiations reached a stalemate.
- Organized under Kristal-İş union, Atışkan Plaster workers in Eskişehir continue their strike.
- Vivo Vtech workers from Türk Metal union, Koç University Hospital workers from DISK/Dev Sağlık-İş union and Esan Mining workers from Independent Miners Union came out victorious in their struggles.
- In Gaziantep, 350 foundry workers from Turkish and Syrian backgrounds walked out. They fought back together and had their demands met.
- In Adana/Seyhan, shoe workers, who are paid on a piecework basis, walked out when their pay rise request was refused.
- Workers from Barutçu Textile, Turkuaz Textile and Nersoy Textile keep resisting.
- In Istanbul, cleaners and warehouse workers working at Kluh, a subcontractor of LC Waikiki, walked out to claim their rights regarding bank promotion and premium pay.
- Tüm Emekli-Sen members gathered in front of the Ulus Zafer Monument in Ankara and protested the retirement policies of the government and inadequate pension increase.
- Private Sector Teachers’ Union members made a press statement in front of the Şişli Cevahir shopping mall.
- In Istanbul Ambarlı Port, 70 workers at Karhan Gümrük got fired because of organising under Liman-İş Union. The union and workers protested layoffs.
- Workers in 11 factories that belong to 5 different companies, where Birleşik Metal-İş is organized, started to take actions for collective bargaining demands.
- Organized under Birleşik Metal-İş union, Bekaert workers went on strike despite the ban. The strike ended in victory.
- Figthing for unionization, Pulver Chemical workers from Petrol-İş union reached victory on the 161st day.
