Solidarity Message to the Working Class of Turkey From Doro-Chiba
Dear brothers and sisters in Turkey,
Here in Japan, it is widely reported that “a devastating earthquake of a magnitude M7.8 and its aftershocks have deprived more than 10 thousand people of their precious lives”.
Before everything else, we are concerned about the safety of the comrades of UID-DER.
When we imagine those people who are still under the rubble of collapsed buildings and the people who are engaged in the rescue activities in the midst of severe cold, we feel like we could not sit still here.
Please tell us what we can do now in Japan for you, geographically so far from you.
We have also recently experienced two earthquakes in Japan, the Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995 and the East Japan Earthquake in 2011. In confronting these two earthquakes, we have set up organizations of solidarity to offer support through establishing close ties with the local communities suffering under casualties. These efforts have been realized as a struggle against the administrations in the time, which put public order over rescue of the people.
We are now firmly determined to overthrow the Kishida administration rushing toward war, and to establish an international power of solidarity which could overcome disasters caused by the earthquakes.
Our heart is with you. We wish you success in your courageous struggle.
In solidarity,
