Behnam Ebrahimzadeh Threatened with Solitary Confinement!
Iranian Workers’ Solidarity Network
Behnam Ebrahimzadeh has been on hunger strike since August 8 when he was moved to Rejai Shahr prison in Karaj. On Tuesday night, August 26, he was transferred to Rajai Shahr prison’s infirmary because of his deteriorating health. At the infirmary prison officials threatened him with solitary confinement if he did not end his hunger strike.
Despite these threats Behnam has said that if his demands have not been met by September 1 then he will be refusing all solid food.
Iranian Workers’ Solidarity Network condemns the Iranian regime’s imprisonment of labour activists like Behnam Ebrahimzadeh and demands the immediate and unconditional release of all labour activists and workers.
